SCORZE. SOMETHING ABOUT ME

I've never told you anything about me, neither have I shown you any photos. I will do it, probably. For the moment I will tell you about something really iportant for me.

The photos you can see here above are taken from my thesis: I graduated in fashion design in 2010 and this is the project I created for the final exam, a collection of black accessories, dedicated more to the tactile perception than to the visual one.

Scorze – Feeling the landscape on your skin” is the title of the project realized for my thesis, chosen because the objects – all elaborated from natural black leather – have been modeled according to different textures which mimic the roughness of the existing surfaces in nature, and therefor they have harsh and crusty aspect.

Skin is like the shell of the human body, and at the same time, it’s like a casing for every living thing; hence the title for the subheading: the skin is our landscape, it’s the mean through whom we get in contact with the world. Just like the other bodies surfaces communicate, so does the does our skin about us: it’s through her that we get connected to the world. If on one side she protects us from what might harm our body, on the other it allows us to know what surrounds us.
